The Orange Eye Red Demon Shrimp is a captivating new mutation of the popular Bloody Mary Shrimp, distinguished by its vivid bright orange eyes set against a deep red body. As a Neocaridina variety, it combines the resilience and ease of care that appeals to both beginners and seasoned hobbyists alike.
First bred by Michael Haesler in Germany, this exciting new addition to the hobby officially debuts in 2025 and is available in extremely limited quantities. Its striking contrast of fiery red coloration with intense orange eyes gives it a “demon-like” appearance that makes it a standout in any planted aquarium.
Known for their active scavenging nature, these shrimp help keep your tank clean by feeding naturally on biofilm and algae while adding vibrant color and activity.
Each shrimp typically features:
