The Green Diamond Shrimp is a premium-grade Neocaridina variety known for its vibrant lime green coloration and enhanced shell clarity. As an elite version of the popular Green Jade line, Green Diamonds offer brighter tones and more consistent color coverage from head to tail.

This high-grade selection is relatively new to the hobby and prized by breeders and collectors looking for a truly vivid green Neocaridina. Their eye-catching, jewel-like glow adds unique contrast in planted tanks, especially when paired with darker substrate or complementary shrimp colors.

Like all Neocaridina, Green Diamonds are hardy, beginner-friendly, and active scavengers, making them an excellent choice for shrimp keepers of all levels.

Disappointed

I was uncertain about these shrimp as I couldn't find any pictures from buyers here or elsewhere on what to expect but took the jump and spent $150 on a pack of 20 green diamonds on the Fourth of July sale hoping for a good line of green shrimp to start my own line and have been very disappointed.

There were a couple of DOA but nothing out of the ordinary. Upon arrival the shrimp looked more like ordinary green jade rather than the brighter green I'd been promised and paid extra for. Some ranged closer to blue and others to yellow/brown but that's not uncommon for green neos. The biggest issue is how dark these "vivid green" shrimp were.

I waited to post my review hoping the color would correct once they were comfortably settled but instead I found an enormous die-off rate compared to my typical experience with shipped shrimp. I expect some which is why I had ordered 20 but at this point I only have a couple of live shrimp remaining in a tank where my other mail ordered neos are thriving.

I could forgive the die-off as an uncommon situation for this retailer but even without that the shrimp I received were nothing like the ones promised and I would not recommend, particularly given they're priced at a premium.

First time shopper on mail order shrimp

I purchased the green diamond neo shrimp. I was impressed by the shipping as I was concerned because it is July and hot. Shrimp showed up safe, I thought the mesh in the bag really was genius. The shrimp I got is a beautiful dark green color. My only thing was the listing said they are lime green so I was expecting a brighter limier green. It’s been 4-5 days and all of settles in nicely.
