Blue Shadow Mosura
Blue Shadow Mosura
Blue Shadow Mosura shrimp are a striking variation of the black panda shrimp, known for their unique blend of black and blue hues. These shrimps are selectively bred from black panda and blue bolt shrimp, creating a captivating coloration that intensifies as they mature. What sets them apart is their compatibility with various Taiwan Bee shrimp types without the risk of hybridization.
Originating from the Caridina genus, Blue Shadow Mosura shrimp are a part of the Taiwan Bee family, originating as mutations of crystal red, crystal black, and golden bee shrimp. These shrimp thrive in clean, slightly acidic water with a pH range of 6-6.8 and a gH of 4-6. They thrive at cooler temperatures, typically between 68 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
The "shadow" in their name alludes to the notable blue hue, which becomes increasingly vivid as these shrimp grow older. "Mosura" refers to the unique head pattern. While they are somewhat more challenging to keep than some other shrimp varieties, these Taiwan Bee shrimp offer a fascinating opportunity for hobbyists looking to elevate their aquatic ventures.
