Still extremely rare in the U.S., the 24K Gold Bee is quickly gaining recognition among breeders and collectors for its striking appearance and impressive purity of color. Its name comes from its shimmering, 24-karat-like golden shell, making it a must-have for high-end shrimp tanks or selective breeding projects.

As with other Caridina species, the 24K Gold Bee thrives in soft, acidic water and benefits from a stable, shrimp-specific setup. With proper care, these shrimp exhibit bold coloration and healthy behavior, especially in well-established aquascapes rich in biofilm and moss.

Each shrimp may feature:

• Tank Size: Minimum 5 gallons
• Substrate: Active substrate (lowers pH)
• Tank Mates: Shrimp-only or peaceful nano fish only
