Red Panda / Wine Red
Red Panda / Wine Red
The red equivalent of the Black Panda shrimp is the Red Wine shrimp. This color form also belongs to the Shadow shrimp, also called Taiwan shrimp. Typically, the Red Wine has two white continuous bands on the abdomen, and it definitely has more white than the Red Ruby. Both the red and white are very intense and opaque. Dark streaks may be present in the red of the Red Wine, hence the name "Shadow Shrimp". Shadow shrimp are believed to have their origin in a mating of bee shrimp with tiger shrimp. The females of the Red Wine shrimp reach a body length of 2.5 to 3 cm, the males do not grow quite as large and also remain slimmer than the females.

Ordered these and some shadow panda shrimp to put in my 60 gallon tank. The shrimp all arrived happy and healthy. There was a small issue with the order, but the response was quick and a resolution was easy to find. Will definitely look to order from here again when I'm ready for more shrimp.
