The Super Crystal Red Shrimp — also known as Red Santa — is a vibrant and captivating Caridina shrimp featuring intense opaque red coloration with minimal white markings. As a striking variation of Bee Shrimp, these shrimp stand out beautifully in any aquascape with their deep, uniform red tones.

These shrimp are home-bred and beginner-friendly, sharing nearly identical care requirements with Crystal Red Shrimp. Their bright color and peaceful nature make them a favorite for both hobbyists and breeders looking to add a splash of red to their tank.

Each shrimp may feature:

  • ❤️ Opaque deep red shell with minimal white markings
  • 🔁 Easy breeding similar to Crystal Red Shrimp
  • 🌿 Active grazers that thrive in planted tanks

All shrimp are disease-free and aquarium-safe, bred in clean, shrimp-only environments to ensure strong health and smooth acclimation.

Note: All Caridina shrimp are sold as unsexed juveniles, typically between 1/4" and 1/2" in size when possible.

⚠️ Please research and ensure your aquarium meets the recommended water parameters before purchase. We are not responsible for losses due to unsuitable tank conditions. Reach out to us if you’d like help setting up the right shrimp tank!

🌊 Recommended Water Parameters for Super Crystal Red Shrimp

  • Temperature: 68–72°F (20–22°C)
  • pH: 5.5–6.5
  • GH: 3–4
  • KH: 0–1
  • TDS: 100–150 ppm
  • Tank Size: Minimum 5 gallons
  • Substrate: Active substrate (lowers pH)
  • Tank Mates: Shrimp-only or peaceful nano fish only

Tips for Success:
Ensure your tank is fully cycled with plenty of biofilm and plants for grazing. Keep ammonia and nitrite at zero, and nitrates under 25 ppm. Perform 10–20% water changes weekly, and feed only 2–3 times per week to avoid overfeeding. A well-established tank is key for shrimplets to survive, as they rely heavily on biofilm during their early days.

Outstanding Experience with Shrimply Fintastic: Perfect Shrimp, Fast Shipping, and a Touch of Humor!

I ordered from Shrimply Fintastic recently and wanted to share my experience

Business name: 100/10. They could've just sent me some fake shrimp and I still would've thanked them tbh because come on, that name is beautiful 🤌

Processing/Shipping time: 10/10. They got my order out quickly after I made the order, and everything was well packaged

Shrimp: 10/10. All shrimp arrived alive and healthy. They were really generous with adding some +1s for the journey. And I felt like the pics on their site and posts very accurately reflected the look/quality of shrimp I got (which I love because I've had issues recently with another site using pics of different grades than they send)

Shrimp manners: 1/10. Within a minute of going in the tank one of the Santa shrimp was munchin' on one of my shrimps' molts, then she climbed on the moss rock with my crystal red and proceeded to shit and do a c-shrimp pose and clean herself. Imagine showing up to a new place, picking up your new roommate's dirty clothes off the floor and eating them, and then sitting at the dinner table and promptly shitting on it. Who does that?

Really though, super happy with my experience with them, and my new little shrimps! 🥰 I haven't gotten good pics of all of them yet, these are just a few
